Hoodie Hoo!

Chances are you’ve gone through the whole day without running outside and shouting “Hoodie Hoo”.  But maybe you should have.  Today is Hoodie Hoo Day; a day for winter weary souls to relieve their angst by shooing away winter at the top of their lungs.  The origins of this ‘holiday’ aren’t clear, but after the winter we’ve had it almost sounds logical.  It even looks like it may have worked for a while, too.  Warm, moist air has been travelling up the East Coast for most of the week.  A cold front barreling in from the west has caused spring like storms to pop up across the Midwest. The rain and warmer temps have prompted some flooding concerns, but that may be premature.  Behind the cold front another Arctic blast is headed down thereby resuming the frozen conditions that have plagued much of the country for months.  So it looks as if March will start it’s reign like a lion.  We can only hope the blessed lamb of spring will not be far behind.  Hoodie Hoo!
